After an intentionally premature leak last week, we're going to test out the fourth studio album by American rockers, The Strokes. That sounds dirtier than I intended, but hey this is a dirty crew; guitarist Nick Valensi recently claimed to only wash his hair ten times a year!! That's less than you, Micah! Let's check out
Angles to see if this is IT.

When I found out that this album existed and was due for release the very next week, I jumped out of my shoes and did the worm all around the lab. It was very popular. First Impressions of Angles are that The Way It Is, as an album Alone, Together within the Strokes discography, is full of Gratisfaction. On The Other Side of solo projects by most of the band is an album that is as delicious as some Soma.
My favorite tracks so far are "Under Cover of Darkness," and "You're So Right."
After listening to Angles for almost two weeks, I have to wholeheartedly agree with Paul that this compact disc is indeed pretty stellar. Probably not as epic as their first album, Is This It, which catapulted them to fame, but I think Angles is a return to form and superior to the band's last two efforts. The favorite tracks remain the ones listed above, but "Machu Picchu," "Life Is Simple in the Moonlight," and others are also super!
I have read some critical reviews that claim the album sounds disjointed, and I did hear that the band isn't so tight and recorded much individually; however, I don't really find this disconnect evident or deterring. Maybe I can just overlook any flaws for the slinky guitar hooks on "Under Cover of Darkness." I want to see them in concert.
